Counselling and Psychotherapy in Barnes, South West London. My practice is very close to the areas of Hammersmith, Wimbledon, Richmond, Chiswick, Putney and Kingston. My psychotherapy practice in Barnes is within easy reach to public transport. There is also parking within easy reach of my counselling practice.
Some people seek counselling to help them explore a general feeling that their lives are not quite right; a vague feeling of being blocked, which can impact all areas of their lives.
I have lived and worked in many overseas countries. I feel I have some experiences of the challenges of adjustment across cultures. I feel this offers me a sense of understanding, respect of cross cultural experiences, diversity and a feeling of barriers.
I am also a registered nurse working in the field for many years. Nursing conventions are concerned with empowering people to achieve independence. My work as psychotherapist also looks at healing, growth and development whilst working in partnership.
My priority is to offer a non-judgemental space to explore anxiety provoking experiences, such as feeling stuck, insecure, dissatisfied with life, managing illness, pain of feeling low in confidence. All these feelings,and more I have worked with many clients over the years . Its good to talk, and have someone listen; this I feel is a major part of my work.

Anxiety is something that we can all feel at times. It can affect your feelings, thoughts and behaviours. How Can Psychotherapy Help?

- Looking at how to challenge your thoughts, and to bring about a more balanced way of managing your life.

How do you move on after a Relationship ends? Understanding what went wrong is an important step towards recovery, rather than blaming yourself. Therapy can help you let go of the past, deal with your feelings and look forward to the future.
Bereavement & Loss
Grieving over a death is a natural and very necessary process. Psychotherapy can help you understand what grief is. It can offer you support that you need to help you resolve and, manage the pain of mourning.
I do appreciate how difficult it can be to decide whether or not you need counselling/ Psychotherapy. I will be pleased to provide an initial assessment; this does not mean that you are obliged to continue on to counselling sessions.
